Chiropractic

Chiropractic adjustment, also known as chiropractic manipulation, is the application of a sudden but controlled force that is used to target a specific joint to help improve joint function.

Dr. Madison “Maddie” Marquez attended Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) and graduated with her Doctor of Chiropractic with an emphasis in Sports Medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree at Mohave Community College where she received her Associate of Science (AS), plus additional course requirements for her Doctorate program. Prior to that, she graduated from Simi Valley High School where she followed a Medical and Health Careers Pathway and received a Medical Assistant Certification.

At a young age, Dr. Maddie was introduced to chiropractic care from injuries related to childhood sporting activities and has been fascinated with it ever since. From that, she decided that was the career path she wished to follow. Throughout those years, she took up any opportunity to gain practical experience in the field she wished to pursue. She worked on the sideline for the football team working under an Athletic Trainer. Also, she became a Certified Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor at the community pool. She did her post-ceptorship work for her Medical Assistant Certification at a Chiropractic Clinic where she could see how it was to work inside the office and not just be a patient of one.

While Dr. Maddie was completing her undergraduate degree, she worked full-time as a Medical Assistant at a local Internal Medicine office in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. As well as, part-time for a local Chiropractic office.

During her time at SCUHS, she shadowed multiple chiropractors that varied in treatment styles and utilized that to get a clear understanding of how diverse chiropractic care can be. She worked/volunteered as Medical Staff for Matt Leinart Flag Football and 4 Vertical Football games and events. In addition, she performed Pre-Participating Evaluations for multiple school districts in Southern California.

For continuing her education, she plans on acquiring the title of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Webster Technique certification, and Animal Chiropractic Certification.

Outside of the office, Dr. Maddie enjoys motorcycling riding, watersports, hiking, working out, yoga, traveling, photography, music, and watching the beautiful Arizona sunsets.
